The Unacceptable Acceptance Letter

The "Unacceptable Acceptance Letters" is a campaign that is bringing awareness to sexual assault on college campuses. This has been an issue on college campuses for years. It's also an issue that college campuses haven't been taking as seriously as they should. Colleges all over the country are failing to under report or ignore the attacks. According to Margaret Johnson, the creator of this campaign, "1 in 5 women and 1 in 16 men will be sexually assaulted or raped while attending college in the U.S." Johnson also says,

The first six weeks of college is the period when freshmen have the highest likelihood of being raped, so we timed this campaign to raise awareness at the earliest point when college becomes a reality.

The campaign consist of various students reading their "unacceptable acceptance letters." These letters consist of stories of rape, sexual assault and violence. View the campaign's video below.
