When in an anxious state the body tenses up making the anxiety difficult to get rid of. Finding stretches, or exercises that relieve that tension is a beneficial way to help get your anxiety under control. 

There are many different exercises that are known to lower anxiety levels. According to a YouTube video by Depression to Expression, Anxiety isn't just felt in the body, but it also effects your brain. In order to relieve anxious tensions, you will have to relax your body so that your mind can do the same.
