Helping Children Manage Their Emotions

Children experience many different emotions that can be difficult to manage. According to Dr. Rick Nauert's article on, studies have shown that mindfulness helps children manage their emotions.

The article further explains the impact that mindfulness exercises have when implemented in elementary schools. The most common exercise is deep breathing, which is utilized by Joyner Elementary according to Dr. Rick Nauert. This exercise forces children to focus on their breathe, relax, and become aware of their body.
